The WPRD offices have moved to the old Goshen Medical building at 120 Medical Village Drive in Wallace. It is the green roof building behind the T-Ball field located at Clement Street Park.

Dixie Youth baseball and softball signups are now open. Practices will start in March with the games starting in April. Playing age for baseball is May 1, 2015. Playing age for softball is January 1, 2015. Age groups are as follows:
BlastBall-ages 3-4 boys and girls
T-Ball-ages 5-6-boys and girls
Coach-Pitch-ages 7-8 boys
Darlings-ages 7-8 girls

Registration fees are $32.00 for in town residents and $45 for out of

The British are coming!
Challenger Sports will once again offer the
popular MiniKickers soccer camp in Wallace. This program is for young
soccer players ages 2-5. It is a 7 week program meeting once a week on
Sunday afternoons for 45 minutes. Soccer experts and child development
professionals have designed this innovative curriculum which will
introduce young soccer stars to the basic skills needed in soccer as
well as help develop motor, social and psychological skills. The British
soccer coaches are experts at working with young children and will
combine soccer with fun games; stories and music that keeps the children
entertained and enthused to keep them coming back.

2:00-2:45 and the 4-5 year olds are from 2:45-3:30.

Spring Indoor soccer league!
Challenger Sports will host an indoor
soccer league with the WPRD this spring, starting in March. This program
is open to all soccer players ages 6-9 and 10-12. The program will
start on Sunday, March 29 at 4:00 p.m. and will meet once a week for 7
weeks. This program will be coached by professional British soccer
coaches, and will involve one 45 minute training session followed by
league games each week. Professional British soccer coaches will help
players develop their individual technical ability with an emphasis on
ball familiarity, dribbling, individual moves, turns and tricks. Each
player will compete in organized games where they will put into practice
the skills they have worked on in their training sessions. The small
sided games will maximum the contact that each player has with the ball
and in turn provide the maximum opportunity for skill development. Each
player will be assigned a World Cup team, and receive a team jersey. All
sessions will be held in the Campbell Center at Clement Street Park.
Program dates are, 3/29, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, and 5/17.

MLB Pitch, Hit and Run Competition to be held on Saturday, April 25.
The WPRD will again host a MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run Local Competition on
Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. This event will take place at Clement Street Park in
Wallace. Youth baseball/softball players will get a chance to showcase
their skills at this local event. Scores will be recorded in the
categories of pitching, hitting and running. Top scorers in each age
group will have the opportunity to advance to a Sectional Competition,
where they will compete to advance to the Team Championship hosted by the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field in Atlanta, GA! Participants may register online at http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/kids/phr_participant_registration.jsp
or at the park on the day of the event starting at 9:15 a.m. Participants must present a
copy of their Birth Certificate at check-in. This is a free event for
boys and girls, ages 7-14 years of age. Participants will be separated
based on age and gender. Age classification is as of July 17, 2014. No
metal spikes are allowed.
