The WPRD offices have moved to the old Goshen Medical building at 120 Medical Village Drive in Wallace. It is the green roof building behind the T-Ball field located at Clement Street Park.

2014 Pitch Hit and Run Competition set for Saturday, April 26.

MLB Pitch Hit and Run Competition to be held on Saturday, April 26 at Art Meyer Field. This free competition is open to all boys and girls ages 7-14 as of July 17, 2014. Signups for this event will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26. You may signup online at http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/kids/phr_participant_registration_form.jsp

Out of School Bash on Saturday, June 7!

Join EWA (Exodus Wrestling Alliance) as they crash the Campbell Center in Wallace, NC for a special fundraiser event for the Wallace Parks and Recreation Department. EWA is one of the few family, friendly independent wrestling companies that provide a clean, family show; however, full of leaps, bounds, and excitement! Proceeds will go to benefit the many equipment, uniform, etc. needs the recreation department needs.

Challenger Sports' British Soccer Camp is the most popular soccer camp in the country. Summer soccer camps are eligible for the Child and Dependent Care Credit.

Full details can be found in IRS Publication 503.

1. Your child has to be under 13 to claim the credit.
2. If you're married, you must file jointly be working, looking for work or attending school full-time.
3. If you're a single parent, you must be working, looking for work or attending school full-time.
4. You have to file form 1040, 1040A, or 1040NR, not 1040EZ; you claim the credit on form 2441.
5. You have to owe federal income tax for the year. 

What kind of camps are eligible?

Most day camps are eligible for the credit. Here's what isn't:
1. Overnight camp is not eligible.
2. Tutoring and summer school are not eligible.

If you are claiming you will need the Challenger Sports Tax ID number 74-285-2234
