The MLB Pitch Hit and Run Competition will be held on Saturday, April 16
at Clement Street Park. This is a FREE competition open to all baseball
and softball players ages 7-14 as of July 17, 2016. Participants will
be divided into groups based on gender and age while competing in 3 the
aspects of the competition...Pitching, Hitting and Running. Champions
will be awarded for each aspect as well as an overall champion. The
local level champions will then move on to the sectional level of the
competition on Saturday, May 21 where they will have a chance to compete
for a spot in the national finals at the 2016 MLB All-Star game.
Registration will be taken the day of the event starting at 9:30 a.m.
Players must show a birth certificate during the registration process.
Blastball (3-4 year olds)
This program is a co-ed. program that was created to be played at a
faster pace then older t-ball programs in order to help hold the
attention of younger players. Teams are made up of fewer players then
older t-ball teams, which provides more game playing experience. This is
an in house program created by the WPRD. Age cut off for this program
is May 1 of the current year.
T-Ball (co-ed) 5-6 year olds
Darlings- 7-8 year olds (Coach-Pitch)
Angels- 9-10 year olds
Ponytails- 11-12 year olds
Belles- 13-15 year olds
Coach-Pitch- 7-8 year olds
Minors- 9-10 year olds
Majors- 11-12 year olds
Dixie Boys Baseball Programs
The WPRD offers baseball to boys ages 13-14 through Dixie Boys Baseball.
Starting this year, players will be allowed to move up an age group upon parent's request.

Registration fees are $32.00 for in town residents and $45.00 for out of
town residents. Discounts are provided for siblings. All participants must have a birth certificate on file
with the WPRD.
